Transcorp Hilton is recognised by visitors as the biggest, busiest and best hotel in Nigeria. Operating in Nigeria for over 20 years, about 5,000 people visit daily to utilise accommodation, shopping, entertainment, restaurants, business, venues, bars, offices, etc. From guest rooms and suites to executive rooms with executive lounge access, all rooms at the Transcorp Hilton are designed in Art Deco style. Pre-existing situation & Carrier’s role
The existing analogue video system was outdated and needed a complete overhaul. The image quality of cameras from various brands were no longer in line with the current standards and showed gaps in covering the hotel the car parks, perimeter fence, restaurants, bars, a club, a clinic, dozens of shops, elevators and multiple offices. Transcorp Hilton is a community on its own. As this famous hotel frequently hosts celebrities from all over the world, the security and privacy of these guests is of the utmost importance. The technical team recognized the need for a security solution that was intelligent, durable, robust, scalable and highly efficient to detect security incidents, protect lives and property. The Transcorp Hilton hotel published an international tender for a security solution and in a highly competitive pitch process. Dogologic was selected to provide the new TruVision™ video surveillance solution that is part of the Aritech™ portfolio.

Carrier fire & security solution
Dogologic is a fully trained installation company on Carrier fire and security and Aritech solutions. Responding to the tender, a video solution was proposed with close to 600 IP TruVision bullet, dome, fisheye, wedge, multi-imager, PTZ, and ANPR cameras. These are connected via a CAT6e network to PoE (Power over Ethernet) Gb switches linked to a fiber backbone. The control room accommodates 20 network video recorders, each with 32 ports. Surveillance keypads are enabling easy operation. The 14 floors, congress hall, car parks and perimeter fence are now monitored by the TruVision video surveillance system allows for 30+ days of storage. The coverage of the hotel has been greatly improved, leaving nearly zero gaps. With this solution, the hotel is now monitored 24/7, enabling an integrated response to security incidents. An Advisor™ Advanced intrusion detection system monitors the internal perimeter fence. The Edward™ EST3 fire system remains in place and proved to be the right choice many years ago. EST3 panels control over 1,200 multisensory detectors, a voice evacuation system and emergency telephony system, lifts, emergency doors, messaging system, HVAC and sprinkler.
